The Music Ministry is a praying ministry. Ministers’ musical talents enhance our liturgy and can create a pathway to a deeper faith experience for our congregation. Those who can play instruments and sing have gifts that can be enjoyed over and over again. The Music Ministry offers several options for parishioners to share their gifts.
If you are interested in joining this ministry or learning more about it, please contact the Music Director, Kevin Chamberlain, at 279-4403. New members are always welcomed.
Traditional Choir At the 10:30 a.m. Mass, this music ministry sings hymns rooted in the Christian Church and other classical anthems. The choir strives to bring a mix of traditional and contemporary musical chestnuts in our church to life.
This ministry meets weekly to practice for the upcoming Sunday and special liturgical seasons, such as Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter.
Cantor Ministry The role of the Cantor is to facilitate the singing of congregational hymns. The Cantor sings the responsorial psalm and gospel acclamation (alleluia), and intones the Mass settings. He or she works closely with the Music Director, musicians and other ministers of the church, to ensure a smooth and respectful celebration of the Mass.
