Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John
In traveling through John’s Gospel, what have we seen and learned? The keys to reading John’s Gospel are to look for the signs and “I am” statements. The second half of this gospel is called the “Book of Glory”, the seventh sign. Some people view God as either harsh and impersonal and don’t care or have created their own God. John sends the message that God reveals how madly in love with us he is, how he pursues us, and wants a relationship with us. Jesus reveals the gift of living water, trust in not seeing, but believing, and mercy filled with healing and forgiveness. How is your relationship with God?
